If you’d like to skip straight to the creative project and learn how to make a Christmas lantern then scroll down until you see Blue’s paw print below.

This episode is subtitled: ‘The Finale’

‘Yes!’ I cried. ‘Yes,’ at the end of a very emotional day. And I felt very happy indeed.

I’d woken that morning with my heart in my mouth. It was my first official day working for Shaun and I desperately didn’t want to mess it up so I wandered into Teacups & Tulips to summon up some courage, a place where everything was familiar.

53. How to Recycle Christmas Cards

Turn this year's old Christmas cards into tags for next year

This episode is subtitled: ‘Red, like Snow White’s apple…’

‘Morning Jenny!’

‘Morning Jaz. Oh, you’ve changed your hair!’ I said, looking up as she burst into the shop.

Things are still quiet here in Tulips. There is always a little flurry of wedding consultations following romantic New Year’s Eve proposals but generally it’s a chance to clean up, reorganise our supplies and plan our Valentine’s Day designs. That doesn’t require a full complement of staff so I’m pleased when some of them want to take their holidays after Christmas. Jaz and I make a good team when it comes to sorting things out behind the scenes.

Jaz’s hair was red. Not orange like people with red hair have, red like a pillar box; red like a strawberry. I can’t believe I’m saying this but she did actually suit it. Make a quick Christmas decoration with jam jar lids

This episode is subtitled: ‘The rush and the lull…’

As predicted, it’s been a crazy week so far in Tulips but we’re keeping on top of our orders as they pile in and we’re managing to not get under each other’s feet too much despite us all being in the shop at once, all day, every day, on the run up to Christmas. Even Daisy, our Saturday girl, is working full time from today until the end of Saturday.

48. How to Make a Christmas Table Centre

Make a Christmas table centre using foliage from the garden and fir cones from the woods

This episode is subtitled: ‘Jenny McKendrick, Florist…’

Those of you who tune into our Facebook page may remember that you were promised a tutorial for making a Christmas table centre around this time, using fir cones that had been collected from the ground in May! Well here we are, still a few weeks to go so you have time to gather your supplies and, maybe, get a bit of practice in.

I was asked to make a table arrangement for Petra last week, only this one was definitely not to have a Christmassy theme. Petra is, very loosely speaking, my sister-in-law. Actually, she’s my sister’s husband’s brother’s wife so fairly well removed from me, thank goodness. You can read about my last encounter with her in episode 31, if you like.
